The project’s foundation lies in the narrative of the Gentile Family, which unfolds into two distinct sections. A Sua Parola, comprises eight fragments of memories arranged chronologically, spanning over half a century. These recollections are presented through the perspective of Domenico Gentile, the narrator. In Il Ricordo di Loro we place significance on tokens from the Gentile Family, which play a crucial role in supporting Domenico’s fragile memory. Through these tokens, he reconstructs and reassembles events that might have otherwise faded into oblivion. This storytelling approach allows us to delve deep into the concept, emphasizing genuine human experiences, and forging an authentic and emotional connection with the reader. This project endeavors to capture the essence of real-life experiences and emotions, offering a unique and engaging storytelling experience for our audience. The novel vividly portrays the challenges of growing up in a harsh and impoverished environment.
